Support Genesis Sounds of Healing in Chicago, the US & the world

Genesis Sounds of Healing performed in Washington, DC on Capitol Hill for the US Congress and in Chicago for over 200 at-risk youth of color from Chicago’s SW sides this past June.  This immersive experience with our multicultural musicians from Brazil, Venezuela, Morocco, the Middle East, Europe, Pakistan, the US (Chicago), was followed by a rich, interactive conversation with our audience for and about healing and ways we can come together across divides.

Be part of Genesis’ movement to heal people, our communities, and our physical planet.  Help support our longer programs this year in Chicago and other parts of the US and around the world.

  • Sponsor a Sounds of Healing musician for $5,000-$10,000
  • Sponsor a Sounds of Healing roundtable discussion for $2,500-$5,000
  • Sponsor a year-long program for at-risk youth for $10,000-$20,000
  • Support a travel stipend for $1800-$3600
  • Underwrite a performance: for $35,000-$50,000

The Sounds of Healing musical experience is a collaboration between Saffron Caravan, Genesis’ professional world music ensemble and graduates from our Genesis Academy Summer Institutes talented in creative writing and music.

Genesis at the Crossroads is a Chicago-based non-profit organization that builds peaceful communities at the intersection of social justice, education, and the arts to foster healing.  For over two decades we have been creating and producing programs on music and peacebuilding, among our other activities.  Those performance programs have toured around the Chicagoland area and across the US and the world to Morocco, Bosnia, and Israel/Palestine all to demonstrate that the arts are indeed a powerful vehicle to bring us together.  More of this work will be done on our Genesis Peace Hub.

Your generosity helps us reach local and global audiences with powerful conversations for healing as we build a more peaceful planet together.

With gratitude in advance.
